The purpose of the Central Applications Office (CAO) is to process centrally applications for admission to the first year of undergraduate courses in institutions within the Republic of Ireland and to deal with them in an efficient and fair manner.
Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)
UCAS is the world's largest central admissions service for higher education. Every year it processes some 2.5 million applications from more than 430,000 people, from all over the world, for places on 45000 courses at more than 330 UK universities and colleges.
Qualifax is the national online courses database, very useful for looking up course around CAO time. The site only covers courses available through the CAO.
