Aontas na Mac Léinn Iarbunscoile - Union of Secondary Students

The Union of Secondary Students has grown rapidly since its foundation in 2001 to a membership of over 47,000 students. The USS is the third organisation of its kind to be set up in Ireland, both of the previous organisations dissolved after about 10 months.

For Theses reasons it is the vision of this years board to, for the first time ever take a vision of the long term development of the organisation. Where will the USS be in 10, 20 years time? What do we have to do now to ensure the survival, growth and development of the USS?

These are the types of questions the IDC will be looking at, and working on resolutions towards.

Þ    Internal Structures

Membership of the IDC:

The members of this commission consist of people who have extensive experience within NGO’s, the USS and people who have wide-ranging knowledge of the USS as an organisation as well as a number of the National Board Members.

How to Get Involved:

Unfortunately positions on the IDC are not open to members of the USS. But we still do want you to become involved, this is after all your organisation! 

Therefore we welcome and invite you to send in submissions to the IDC for consideration.
