Hazel Nolan - President

Hazel beat of stiff competition to become the President of the USS. Hazel is our second female USS President, possibly a trend setting in here. Hazel was Vice-President last year and is now re-elected to her second term in office at national level. Hazel now a seasoned board member is prised to take the organisation to new heights.

Oisín O' Reilly - Deputy President/ Campaigns Officer

Oisín is our primary project/ campaigns organiser, unafraid to tackle real issues like exam pressure, Irish Educational policy and the Right for students to have seats on Boards of Management. He endeavours to promote better school standards for students, and equality of all in the educational sector.

Nick Trigoub-Rotnem - Public Relations Officer

Nick fought good and hard for his position as PRO, and he as been actively pushing the student voice through the local and national media over the past few months. If you have any media related enquires please contact Nick.

Michael Raymound - Secretary

Michael is our administrator and the one who keep us and this website up to date. Michael comes from Cork, but its not his fault, really its not … if you could like any information on the USS or what it is up to at the moment you can contact Michael.

Lisa Graham - Treasurer

The woman in charge of our money… all of it… The Treasurer's primary goals this year include completing our business plan and helping to secure much needed funding with the assistance of the fundraising Officer. Education Officer

Unfortunately we have no Education Officer at the moment, but rest assured that the USS is still protecting your academic affairs and recently had a meeting with the Discipline Taskforce set up by the Department of Education. Rihannon Mc Cann - Fundraising Officer

Rihannon brings so much to the national board, and recently she has been a constant help in finding funds to help the USS carry out its mission. If anyone would like to donate to the USS please contact Rihannon at fundraiser@ussonline.net

Chris Doyle - Welfare/ Equality Officer

The guy who organises the counselling for all the board members! Don't we need it! Chris is in his second term. Chris promotes welfare issues within the USS and USS policy. This is the first time that the Welfare office will complete a full term in office but with Chris at the head the future looks bright. USS will shortly be launching it Nite Line service to second level students - a listening service for all your qualms. Chris also works on equality within schools and has involved USS in a number of projects - most notably the BeLonG To project that supports Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender youth. Chris has also been working very hard at establishing NITELINE and it opened on Tuesday 7th June. If you have a welfare issue contact Chris at welfare@ussonline.net or chris@niteline.org

Mary Clancy - Development Officer

Mary works with a team of five regional officers to ensure the growth of the student voice and will soon be hosting a road show to travel around schools and help in the setting up/ development of student councils. Mary also plans to initiate research into the area of student councils and student participation in schools. You can contact Mary at development@ussonline.net
